Loves of my Life - Part 1

IMG_1150_450x338

My greatest love is for the Lord Jesus and His precious Word, for the simple reason that He loves me as much as He loves His very own Son. Today my Pastor pointed out this beautiful Scripture: “You . . .  have loved them as You have loved Me.” (John 17:23)

It’s Valentine’s Day today, 14 February, 2011. So, then my theme for this post is: “What do I love?” Today I want to open up my heart, and show you some of the treasures that I have tucked away, and that I cherish beyond expression.

I love nature and the wonderful world that our Creator created.

We all have people and things that we love, but what is the greatest love that there ever will be? Let me tell you. It is when the one and only God looks down on us and sees us in our sin and lost state, and Who gave the greatest gift ever – His only Son, Jesus Christ, to die in our place. Jesus in turn was willing to suffer the cruelest of deaths – our punishment for sin, and then if we love Him, He shares His home with us – Heaven. That’s love, never to be compared!

“Greater love has no one than this, than to lay day one’s life for His friends. You are my friends if you do whatever I command you.” (John 15:13-14)

Do you want to know what else I love? Check out my next post. Remember to “Love one another”.
