“So He shall open and no one shall shut, and He shall shut, and no one shall open.”” (Isaiah 22:22)
That is exactly what the Lord did for me on 23 November, 2011, when, instead of continuing to function as the Dean of Biblical Studies at Pillsbury College and Seminary, St. Louis, Missouri, USA, on a voluntary basis, for a further six months, He led me back to Ecuador, and He then “locked the door behind me.” He had a purpose for me to return to my home. “His ways are passed finding out.” Our Father tells us so – “Your thoughts are not My thoughts, neither are your ways My ways”, says the Lord.”’” (Isaiah 55:8)
QUITO, the capital city of Ecuador, is huge. The picture above shows a tiny fraction of the city. My son, Earl, was waiting to welcome me at the airport.
“Grace and Light” is a hostel owned by a Christian lady. It is situated about 3 kilometers from the airport. It is spotless, and the people are extremely welcoming.
There is only one Home that will supersede every other that ever has or will exist. Let me give you the address. It is listed here: John 14:2-3. Hear Jesus’ words. “In My Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for, I will come again, and receive you unto Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.” Have you ever pondered over how Jesus would welcome us into His Heavenly Hostel? That is going to be some welcome!
The owner of “Grace and Light” is away on a mission trip with her husband at present, and Cecile, a wonderful hostess, has been appointed in her absence.
Cecile maintains the hostel to perfection. Linen and towels are snow white.
Every room is decorated with gorgeous, fresh flowers.
And she loves to cook!!!!

Cecile prepared a wonderful breakfast for Earl and I, and she added flavor to her cuisine by honoring us with her presence.
The bathrooms are absolutely spotless, and are decorated differently.
”Grace and Light” also has extended stay apartments – beautiful apartments!
Every woman would fall in love with this kitchen! I did!
