The view of the COTACACHI VOLCANO, in Ecuador, is a stunning sight! Pause for a moment and think – God actually created this wonder . . . “IN THE BEGINNING GOD CREATED . . . . . .” (Genesis 1:1) What a mighty GOD!!!!!
While making coffee early this morning, I peered through my kitchen window, and within one minute these were the views that God showed me. There was a spiritual message in these vivid views of God’s volcano.
A mantle of clouds was approaching fast.
Suddenly the sun touched the mouth of the volcano.
The white mantle began covering this beautiful scene.
And then it was gone! Was it? No! God closed the veil from my Vivid Vision of His Volcano. His creation – His volcano was still there!
What “Life Lesson” can we learn from this view displayed by God Himself?
A volcano can be likened to a threatening situation in our lives. Something that could erupt at any stage. Stage is the correct term, because during our lifetime “volcanoes” appear as we travel along our journey with the Lord. In an instant, in the above scenario, the son just tipped the mouth of the volcano. Even so, the Son of God, our Lord Jesus, shines on our circumstances. Then GOD encapsulates our problems with His pure presence, as a mantle, and He continues working on our behalf behind the scenes.
What promises has God given us? First, I like what God says with regard to our sins that resemble that volcano. His SON, JESUS, the LIGHT of the World died, and that is why God’s Word is so true: “I have blotted out, as a thick cloud, thy transgressions, and, as a cloud, thy sins . . . .” (Isaiah 44:22)
Secondly, our trials and tribulations. Let’s look at Daniel and his three friends for a moment. Daniel faced ravenous lions. Was He devoured? Of course not! God shut the mouths of the lions (volcanoes). God will do the same for us. And what about his three God-fearing friends? The furnace was heated seven times the normal heat. What happened? Jesus walked with them in the furnace. They emerged, bonds burned, and not even smelling of smoke. Wow!!! Does God still do that today? Reflect for a moment on your previous trials. Did God deliver you – miraculously? How did you emerge from your most threatening circumstances? Scarred from the bites of the “lion” (satan); burnt and badly scarred from the fires of oppression? On the contrary, we emerge robust in our walk with the Lord. We KNOW that our GOD is the GOD over all the volcanoes that appear in our lives.

“. . . for He (God) Himself has said, “I will not in any way fail you, nor give you up, nor leave you without support; (I will) not, (I will) not, (I will) not in any degree leave you helpless nor forsake nor let (you) down (relax my hold on you)! Assuredly not!”’”
What has happened to our “volcanoes” of sin and trials?
“I have blotted out as a thick cloud thy transgressions and . . . . . thy sins. . .” (Isaiah 44:22)
“. . . we should not trust in ourselves, but in God . . . . who delivered us . . . and doth deliver; in whom we trust that He will yet deliver us.” (II Corinthians 1:9-10)
VIEW YOU ‘VOLCANOES’ AS VANISHING VAPOR – THE “SON” WILL SHINE ON THEM!
